Acadia Care Group uses the HSI (Health Safety Institute) Curriculum to meet the needs of providers so they’re able to deliver high quality care. HSI is a nationally accredited organization in Emergency Medical Services, and meet the requirements of nearly 5,000 state regulatory agencies, occupational licensing boards, national associations, commissions, and councils in more than 550 occupations and professions.

CPR/AED and First Aid is delivered in two options

A) Online Class + In-Person Skills Test

CPR/AED and First Aid In-Person Skills Test (Part
2)      Time: 1 Hour

(Part 1) This option allows the participant to complete a series of self-paced modules in preparation of the in-person skills test. These self-paced modules include adult/child/infant rescue breathing, compressions, and AED; as well as, choking, wound care, bites and stings, hot/cold emergencies, heart attack/stroke, burns, shock, allergic reactions, scene safety, and assessment.

(Part 2) The participant will then complete an In-person skills test. The participant must attend this instructor-led course in order to be issued a CPR/AED and First Aid card. Through the use of scenario-based exercises, participants will learn to respond and manage emergencies until medical professionals arrive on scene. Students will be able to practice chest compressions and rescue breathing, as well as some basic first aid techniques to help prepare for emergencies that arise.

B) Traditional In-Person Class
